Are you pretty bored of canned attempts to engage the same influencers and folks with bigger audiences in your space that every company does?
Oh look, another top 20 leaders to follow blog. (20 of them are the same from one company’s edition of this to the next).
I am 100000% guilty of doing this. In my early days of my career I spotted it as a social growth hack to get some engagement, get a share and some traffic. It worked well.
But like everything fun, marketers get hold of it and rinse it 🙂
Except now it’s just really obvious. Here’s another huge company hanging out with the same people they’ve given love to every year for years. Kinda yawn, no?
No, it doesn’t have to be all about the little guys every time. But variety is fun some times.
